Wall Sawing

Concrete wall sawing is a track mounted machine that uses diamond blades to cut new door, window, mechanical, or other wall penetrations. The Wall Saw is an excellent choice for creating precise penetrations in any concrete structure. The power source for the Wall Saw is Electric, Air or Hydraulic driven and can easily cut up to 24 inches in depth.

Core Drilling

Core drilling is required when a circular penetration is needed on a wall or slab. Typical applications can be used for, but not limited to, Plumbing Pipe installation, Electrical, HVAC, Telecommunication Lines, Anchor Bolts, Hand Rails, Core Sample Analysis or any other need for a round penetration. Typical size holes range from 1 inch to 48 inch in diameter. Depths of Cored Holes is typically unlimited.

Exterior Asphalt & Concrete Slab Sawing

Slab Sawing is most commonly used to saw cut horizontal flat surfaces such as roads, asphalt pavement and concrete slabs. Slab sawing is less time consuming and is the best choice for the modern construction world compared to the use of a Jack Hammer for flat surface extraction applications. Typical power source used is Electric or Fuel Operated Walk Behind Saws.

Interior Slab Sawing

Interior Electric Slab Sawing is a common method used when Carbon Monoxide Emissions are prohibited due to confined space limitations. Typical applications for Electric Slab Sawing are for underground utility installation, elevator shafts, new foundation work or for remove and repair applications.

Hard Demolition

Break Away is capable of providing Hard Demolition Services to prepare projects for reconstruction. We have the experience, equipment, expertise and personnel to perform the most difficult “Selective” demolition projects.

Excavation Services

Break Away offers “Small-Selective” Excavation Services. Typical Services are Hand Excavation or Machine Excavation limited to OSHA Restrictions.

Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) Services

Ground-penetrating radar is a geophysical method that uses radar pulses to “image” the subsurface. This nondestructive method uses electromagnetic radiation in the microwave band (UHF/VHF frequencies) of the radio spectrum, and detects the reflected signals from the subsurface structures. Break Away provides this service to locate Post-tensioned Cables and other Metal Structures “Embedded” within concrete slab or walls. Break Away does not locate underground utilities.
